ACI Unveils New Veteran-Connection Site with Complimentary Resources for Military Clients and Family

Vet Con 5.23.2014SAN DIEGO, CA – May 16, 2014

ACI Specialty Benefits is proud to unveil the new and improved Veteran Connection, a one-stop site that offers extensive links and resources tailored to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of service members, from active duty military to veterans and their families.

“ACI’s Veteran Module was created in response to an influx in requests for veteran assistance and military-specific services,” explains ACI Specialty Benefits CEO, Dr. Ann Clark. “The overwhelmingly positive feedback received made it clear that the service needed to be taken to the next level, and the new Veteran Connection represents the ultimate resource for our veteran and active-duty clients – and their families.”

Through the new dedicated site, http://www.Veteran-Connection.com, ACI’s EAP and student assistance programs will identify veterans and military service members at the intake process and offer clinical services and life management resources tailored to their specific needs. ACI’s veteran-specific services include access to clinicians specialized in PTSD, reintegration, family issues and other military-specific concerns; career and education referrals and resources; comprehensive referrals for community-based resources that provide low-cost to free assistance with housing, education, child care, medical, transportation and many other life needs.

“What I most appreciate about Veteran Connection is that it extends beyond the traditional practice of therapy,” says Megan Hawker, MA, ACI Clinical Manager, US Army Reservist and Major in the Medical Service Corps. “The Veteran Connection site helps connect the client immediately to the specific resources they and their families need.”

The Veteran Connection site houses a multitude of resource links and an ever-updating feed of exclusive multimedia content, including support videos from the Veteran Connection YouTube playlist, Veteran Connection blogs, and a live Twitter feed. Veteran Connection also provides training, consultation, outreach materials and data analysis to its client businesses and schools. From GI Bill information to PTSD treatment resources, the robust suite of services available reflects ACI’s ongoing dedication to provide the latest, most cutting-edge tools for its clients.
