In support of brain injury awareness month, take a moment to learn about the signs and symptoms of one of the most common brain injuries- concussions.
Someone who experiences a fall or blow to the head might not show physical bruises or lose consciousness, so it is important to recognize other common symptoms so that you can contact a doctor immediately.

Physical

  • Headache
  • Blurred vision
  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness and nausea
  • Sensitivity to light or noise

Thinking & Remembering

  • Not thinking clearly
  • Having trouble concentrating
  • Can’t remember new information

Emotional

  • Overly sad
  • Easily angered
  • More emotional than normal

Sleep Patterns

  • Sleeping more the usual
  • Sleeping less than usual
